It’s as simple as scanning the QR code on a color-coded sticker on each piece of equipment using a smartphone (iPhone or Android).

Every piece of FRD USA equipment features at least one color-coded sticker with a QR code. Whether it’s sitting on a dealer lot or being used out in the field, the code connects users directly to a specific product page or maintenance reminders.

On FRD drills, F-Check QR codes provide end users and operators with quick access to the drill model, specifications and the ability to confirm service-hour information about a drill’s consumables for the drifter, engine, hydraulics, compressor and dust collector.

“This information exists on our website, but this is a faster, easier way for end users and dealers to directly access that valuable information with only a couple of clicks,” said Ted Crane, national sales manager for the FRD USA Breaker Attachment division. “We rolled out the F-Check program a few years ago and it has been really well used and well received.”

On the job site, operators have on-the-go access to the information noted above, as well as shipping dimensions for each drill – all on a single, scrollable page.

On a dealer lot, staff can elevate the industry standard of customer service by scanning the QR code on the attachment to quickly determine:

• Size and configuration
• Specifications
• Carrier compatibility, where the user can select the carrier type and then the carrier manufacturer to see attachment compatibility with that manufacturer’s various models.
